Platform/App

Task management for the work that runs your business

Helm Tasks is the task management app inside the Helm platform. Every task lives in one list, whether it belongs to a project or stands on its own. Set priorities, assignees, due dates, and subtasks; group by status; and assign work to your team or your AI staff. The same task data your team edits is the data your agents act on.

What's Inside

Everything Helm Tasks can do.

Built into the platform. No add-ons, no integrations, no per-feature pricing.

My Tasks across everything

One view of every task assigned to you, from every project and the ones with no project at all. Filter, sort, and group without hopping between boards.

Standalone or in a project

Capture a quick to-do on its own, or attach it to a project when it grows up. Move tasks in and out of projects without losing comments or history.

Priorities and statuses

Urgent, high, medium, and low priorities. Statuses from backlog through in progress, review, approval, and done. Group the board by either.

Subtasks

Break a task into subtasks with their own assignees, statuses, and due dates. Parent and child roll up together so nothing slips.

Assign to people or agents

Hand a task to a teammate or an AI agent under the same permission model. Agents pick up work from the same queue your team uses.

Recurring tasks

Weekly reports, monthly check-ins, quarterly reviews. Define the cadence once and the task respawns itself on schedule.

Custom fields

Add text, number, date, select, checkbox, URL, currency, and more to any task. Filter and group by them on every view.

Workflows on task events

Task completed, status changed, due date passed. Fire a workflow, post to Slack, queue the next step, or nudge the assignee.

On the shared calendar

Any task with a due date shows up on the unified calendar alongside your events, in agenda, day, week, or month view.

How it works

One queue for everything you owe.

My Tasks pulls every task assigned to you into a single list, whether it lives inside a client project or stands entirely on its own. Set priorities, assignees, and due dates; break work into subtasks; and group the board by status or priority. A quick standalone to-do and a tracked project deliverable behave exactly the same way, so nothing falls through the cracks between tools.

Connected by default

Tasks that carry their context with them.

A task with a project inherits its account, its budget, and its documents. A task with a due date shows up on the calendar. Start a timer and the hours roll onto the invoice. Because a task is the same record everywhere else on the platform, you stop re-entering work and start finishing it.

Built for AI agents

Agents work the same task queue your team does.

Assign a task to an AI agent and it picks it up from the same list, with the same priority, status, and due date your team sees. Agents draft the deliverable, post the update, and mark it for review. Autonomy is configurable per agent: observe, suggest, or execute. The handoff between a person and an agent is just a reassignment.

Before / After

The difference an integrated Helm Tasks makes.

Without Helm

A to-do app for personal tasks, a project tool for client work, sticky notes for the rest. Nothing talks to anything, so the same task gets written down three times and finished zero. By Friday you cannot say what is actually due.

With Helm

Every task, project-bound or not, in one list with priorities, assignees, and dates. Due items hit the calendar, hours hit the invoice, and agents pick up what you assign them. You see the whole load in one scroll.

Common Workflows

What happens when you use it.

1
When

You think of a one-off thing that needs doing.

Helm does

Capture it as a standalone task in seconds. No project required. It joins your one list.

2
When

A standalone task grows into real client work.

Helm does

Move it into the project. Its comments, subtasks, and history come along untouched.

3
When

A task with a due date is set for next Tuesday.

Helm does

It appears on the shared calendar automatically, alongside meetings and events.

4
When

You assign a draft to an AI agent.

Helm does

The agent works it from the same queue, posts the result, and marks it for your review.

FAQ

Questions about Helm Tasks.

Can a task exist without a project?

Yes. Tasks can stand entirely on their own or belong to a project. Project linkage is a connection, not a requirement, so you can capture a quick to-do without setting anything up and attach it to a project later if it grows.

How is Tasks different from Projects?

Projects are client-work containers with stages, budgets, team, and health. Tasks is your execution layer across all of them, plus everything that does not belong to a project. The same task shows up in both places: on the project board and in your My Tasks list.

What statuses and priorities are supported?

Priorities are urgent, high, medium, and low. Statuses run from backlog through to do, in progress, for review, for approval, approved, on hold, completed, and archived. You can group any board by status or by priority.

Are subtasks and dependencies supported?

Subtasks are supported via parent and child relationships, each with its own assignee, status, and due date. Task-to-task dependencies and a dedicated critical-path view are on the roadmap. Today, blockers surface through workflows, agent summaries, and overdue signals.

Can AI agents complete tasks?

Yes. Assign a task to an agent and it works from the same queue your team uses. Agents can create, update, and complete tasks and post updates. Autonomy is configurable per agent: observe, suggest, or auto-execute.

Are there task limits on Solo?

Solo plans include up to 500 tasks. Team and Enterprise plans are unlimited. See the Pricing page for full limits.
