What is a workflow template?

A workflow template is a pre-built automation: a trigger plus a set of steps. When the trigger fires, the steps run in order. Templates give you a working starting point you can copy into your workspace and customize.

What can a workflow do?

Create and update records, send email and Slack messages, enroll contacts in sequences, assign AI agents to tasks, call webhooks, and run AI steps that summarize, extract, or generate text. Steps can branch on conditions and loop over records.

What can trigger a workflow?

A record being created or updated (accounts, contacts, deals, projects, tasks, invoices, estimates), a form submission, an inbound webhook, or a schedule (daily, weekly, or monthly).

Can I change a template after I use it?

Yes. Using a template copies it into a new workflow you fully own. Edit any step, add or remove steps, and save your own version. You can also save any workflow back as a workspace or private template.
