For/ACCOUNTING FIRMS

Run your firm on one platform, and let AI agents handle the repeat work.

Client records, document workflows, time, and invoicing in one workspace. Agents handle check-ins, reminders, and recurring communications so your hours stay on the work clients pay you for.

Helm is an AI work platform for accounting and bookkeeping firms. Manage clients, projects, time, documents, and invoicing on one system, with AI agents running recurring client communications, document reminders, and monthly check-ins. It complements your accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) rather than replacing it. Helm is the firm-side OS, not the general ledger.

Why accounting firms run on Helm

The friction we remove.

Client documents rarely arrive on time.

Monthly documents, quarterly statements, annual tax prep. Every client has deliverables on their side. The Account Manager agent handles the reminder cadence, the follow-ups, and the escalations so your team stops playing email tag.

Tax season destroys capacity planning.

Utilization jumps 3× in Q1. Without real-time visibility into who's overbooked and which engagements are running late, you burn out the team or miss deadlines. The Operations Manager agent surfaces capacity risks before they become crises.

Recurring engagements need recurring infrastructure.

Monthly bookkeeping, quarterly close, annual tax. Each runs on a cadence. Helm Workflows fire on triggers (month-end, quarter-end) and AI agents execute the repeatable parts: client notifications, document collection, status reports.

Client communication sits outside the accounting software.

QuickBooks and Xero are built for the books, not for client relationships. Helm's CRM, Email app, and Client Portal (Business tier) give you the client-facing layer on top of the accounting stack you already run.

Pricing

Per-workspace pricing. No per-seat tax.

Helm is priced per workspace, not per seat. When your AI staff help a smaller team do the work of a bigger one, your bill doesn't go up for being lean. All 12 apps are included on every plan.

FAQ

Questions from accounting firms.

Does Helm replace QuickBooks or Xero?

No. Helm is the firm-side OS, not your accounting software. You keep QuickBooks/Xero for the general ledger. Helm handles clients, projects, documents, time tracking, and invoicing for your firm's services, with Composio integrations to sync with your accounting tool on Pro and Business plans.

What about trust accounts or IOLTA?

Helm Invoicing handles client billing through Stripe. Trust accounting and IOLTA compliance are regulated domains. They belong in your accounting software, not in a firm OS. Helm records the events; your accounting system is the source of truth.

Can Helm handle document collection at scale?

Yes. Forms capture client submissions; Documents stores the deliverables; Account Manager agents handle reminder cadences. During tax season, agents can run document-collection checklists per client automatically.

How does time tracking work for a firm with hourly, fixed-fee, and retainer billing?

All three are supported. Hourly projects bill tracked time; fixed-fee projects track time for profitability analysis without billing by the hour; retainers bill on a recurring schedule with usage tracking. AI agents can summarize across all three.

What integrations matter most for accounting firms?

Beyond QuickBooks/Xero, common Composio integrations for accounting firms include Google Drive (document storage), Gmail (client comms), Dropbox (secure file exchange), and DocuSign (engagement letters). Available on Pro and Business.
