Sequences

Run multi-step email sequences that nurture contacts

Sequences are multi-step email campaigns that send to contacts one by one on a delay, and exit automatically when someone replies, bounces, or unsubscribes. For one-to-one email, see the Mailbox.

Building a Sequence

  1. Open Sequences and create a new sequence.
  2. Add steps in order, each with a subject, body, and a delay before the next step.
  3. Personalize with variables like {{contact.first_name}}.
  4. Choose a verified sender identity.
  5. Publish to go live (drafts don't send).

Enrolling Contacts

  • From a contact - Use the contact's menu or its Sequences tab
  • In bulk - Select contacts in the People table and enroll them together
  • From a workflow - Add an enroll step to a workflow
  • From an agent - Agents can enroll contacts based on conditions

Contacts without an email or who have unsubscribed are skipped automatically.

Automatic Exits

A contact leaves a sequence the moment they reply, bounce, or unsubscribe. Every send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribes are honored across the workspace.

Sending Setup

Sequences send from a verified sender identity on a domain you've connected in Settings → Email Domains, the same setup the Mailbox uses.

Plan Availability

Sequences are included on every paid plan. See Plans & Pricing.
