Forms

Capture leads and intake requests on your site

Forms collect structured data from people outside your workspace. Embed one on your site for lead capture, client intake, or feedback. Each submission can create a task, and can trigger a workflow for anything more.

Creating a Form

  1. On the Forms page, click Create Form.
  2. Give it a name and description.
  3. In the builder, add fields from the Form Elements palette.
  4. Click Save Form, then Publish Live when ready.

Field Types

Add and reorder these field types, and mark any of them required:

  • Text, Text Area, Email, Phone, Number
  • Date, Time
  • Dropdown, Radio Buttons, Checkboxes
  • File Upload

What a Submission Does

A submission is always saved to the form. Beyond that, a form can create a task automatically, with a title and description built from the submitted fields (for example {{Name}}), a priority, and an optional client to assign it to.

To create a contact, account, or deal from a submission, build a workflow triggered on form submission. Workflows can also send email or Slack messages and enroll the submitter in a sequence.

Sharing

Once a form is Live, open Embed Code and paste the snippet into your site. No login is required to submit. Forms are embedded on your own pages rather than hosted at a standalone Helm URL.

Validation

Mark fields as required, and use the Email field type for basic email checking. Submissions that miss required fields are rejected.

Submissions & Status

Forms are Draft, Live, or Archived. View recent submissions on a form's detail and analytics pages, including which ones created a task. Row actions cover Edit, Analytics, Publish Live, Set to Draft, Archive, and Delete.

Styling

Set a theme, primary color, background color, a success message, and an optional redirect URL in the form's settings.
