Time Tracking

Track billable hours and manage time entries

Helm's time tracking helps you accurately record hours spent on client work. Track time in real-time with the timer or add entries manually.

Tracking Time

Two ways to record time:

  • Timer - Start/stop a running timer as you work
  • Manual Entry - Add time entries after the fact with start/end times or duration

Time Entry Details

Each time entry includes:

  • Description - What work was performed
  • Duration - Hours and minutes spent
  • Project - Which project the time is for
  • Task - Specific task (optional)
  • Task Type - Category of work (development, meeting, design, etc.)

Billing

Time entries can be converted to invoice line items. Set hourly rates at the project or workspace level, and generate invoices from tracked time.

Reports

View time reports by project, team member, or date range to understand where time is being spent and ensure accurate client billing.
