Autonomous AI staff that execute work in your workspace

Agents are AI staff that handle operations work alongside your team. Each one has a role, a set of tools, and an autonomy level you choose, so it can analyze, propose, or act on work, with you in control of how much it does on its own.

Creating an Agent

On the Agents page, click New Agent to open the Agent Builder, which sets one up through a short conversation.
Prefer to configure it yourself? Use Set up manually to fill out the form directly.

What You Configure

Name, avatar, and color
Role & instructions - The agent's job and how it should behave
Skills - Reusable expertise you attach (always-on or on-demand)
Knowledge - Reference material it can draw on
Tools - Which capabilities it can use (see below)
Autonomy - How much it acts on its own (see below)
Monthly cost limit - A per-agent spend cap (defaults to $20)

Autonomy Levels

Observe - Analyzes and reports findings, takes no action
Suggest - Proposes actions for you to approve before executing
Autonomous - Takes action automatically within its skill set

Email has its own autonomy setting (Observe, Suggest, or Auto), so an agent can draft replies for approval even if it acts autonomously elsewhere. See the Mailbox.

Tools

Grant each tool group read or read_write access: tasks, projects, clients, deals, products, billing, documents, time, calendar, analytics, email, sequences, and more. Connected external tools (like Klaviyo or HubSpot) show up as additional groups.

Giving an Agent Work

Tasks - Add the agent as an assignee to have it do or research the work
Comments - @mention it in a task comment
Slack - Invite it to a Slack channel
Routines - Run it on a recurring schedule (see Routines)

Tip

On Suggest, an agent's proposed actions appear on the task with Approve & Execute and Dismiss buttons, so nothing happens until you say so.

Runs, Cost & Limits

Every run records its tokens, cost, and what it did. The agent usage dashboard shows spend against each agent's monthly cap, and admins can set per-member spending caps. Usage draws from your workspace's AI credits. See AI Credits & Usage.

Plan Availability

Workspace agents are available on every plan. Personal agents (private to a member) require the Team plan or above. See the pricing page.
