Mailbox

Read, reply to, and send email from your workspace

The Mailbox is a threaded email client inside Helm. Read conversations, compose new messages, and reply, with AI agents able to draft replies for you to approve. For drip campaigns, see Sequences.

Folders

  • Inbox - Conversations with an incoming message
  • Sent - Conversations you've sent
  • Drafts - Saved drafts, including ones agents wrote for approval

Filter by All, Unread, or Needs approval, narrow by sender identity, and search by subject or participant.

Composing & Replying

  1. Click New message.
  2. Pick the From identity, then enter To, Subject, and Body.
  3. Click Send. Drafts autosave as you type.

Open a conversation and use the reply box at the bottom to respond; replies thread back into the same conversation.

Agent-Drafted Replies

An agent assigned to a sender identity can draft a reply for you. The draft appears on the conversation with the agent's reasoning, and you can Approve & send, Reject, or Edit with agent before it goes out. Email is never sent automatically; a person always approves.

Receiving Mail

Inbound mail reaches your Mailbox through a forwarding rule on your own email address, set up when you connect a domain. The Mailbox isn't a full IMAP client and doesn't import old mail; it threads conversations going forward.

Sending Setup

To send, connect and verify a sending domain in Settings → Email Domains, then add a sender identity on it (a shared workspace identity or a personal one you claim). You can bind an agent to an identity so it can draft from that address. Helm tracks bounces and complaints, keeps a suppression list, and pauses a domain that crosses safe thresholds.

Plan Availability

Email is included on every paid plan. See Plans & Pricing.
