Link tasks to issues and give agents repo access

Connect the Helm GitHub App to link tasks to GitHub issues and let agents work with your repositories.

Connecting

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → GitHub and click Connect GitHub.
  2. Pick the organization or account to install on.
  3. Grant access to all repositories or just selected ones.

Linking a Task to an Issue

On a task, use the GitHub option to pick a repository and search its issues, then link one. The task shows the issue's title, state, labels, and assignees, and you can refresh it to pull the latest. Assign repositories to a project or agent to control which ones are available.

What Agents Can Do

  • Read - Repositories, files, commits, issues, and pull requests
  • Issues - Create, update, and comment (with write access)
  • Pull requests - Create PRs, add review comments, and create branches (with write access)

Agents only act on repositories assigned to them, and write tools require read_writeaccess. Workflows don't yet trigger on GitHub events.

Plan Availability

GitHub is included on every plan. See the pricing page.
